<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display panel in which degradation in picture quality and an increase in power consumption are suppressed even when a source wiring and an electrode for picture display are shorted, and a method for repairing the liquid crystal display panel.SOLUTION: A common electrode 10 has a comb-tooth shape in which a plurality of slits SL having the same shape as the planar shape of a signal line 16 are provided over the entire surface so as to run in parallel to the signal line 16. A pixel electrode 8 has repair slits RSL2, each formed at only two edges running parallel to the signal line 16, the repair slits RSL2 being provided in an area having the same size and same planar shape as the slits SL of the common electrode 10, the area being set at a position where, when the common electrode 10 and the pixel electrode 8 are placed one on top of another, they overlap the slits SL at both ends of the row of slits of the common electrode 10.</p> |
