<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow pressing-down of a bottom plate only by an amount required for supplying paper from a manual feeding tray at the time of pressing down the bottom plate of a paper feeding cassette by operation on a lever, relating to a paper feeding device which allows paper feeding from a paper feeding cassette and paper feeding from a manual feeding tray, from the same paper feeding roller.SOLUTION: There are provided a gear part that rotates in accordance with a degree of rising of a bottom plate that rises according to the amount of loaded paper, an operation lever, and a sector gear which rotates in accordance with operation on the operation lever. The sector gear has a biting position and non-biting position with the gear part within the operation range of the operation lever. The bottom plate is pressed down by a specified amount of operation on the operation lever, and the pressing-down positions of the bottom plate are different from each other according to a degree of rising of the bottom plate.</p> |
