A switching power supply comprises: a switching-type power supply circuit for converting an input voltage to generate an output voltage; and a control IC that executes a feedback control for controlling a switching element of the power supply circuit on the basis of the voltage difference between a target voltage (Vt) and the output voltage (Vout) from the power supply circuit and converging the output voltage from the power supply circuit to the target voltage. During the startup of the power supply circuit, the control IC sets this time value of the target voltage (Vt) on the basis of the value obtained by adding a specified value (ΔVt) to the last time value of the target voltage (Vt). The purpose of the present invention is for this to provide a switching power supply capable of accurately preventing output voltage overshoot during startup. |
