PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To convert an IP system image into a multiview image, and to apply the IP system image to an application using the multiview image.SOLUTION: A GF conversion section 21 of a conversion section 13 included in an image converter 1 reads the pixel value at a pixel position (u,v) in a viewpoint position image G(max(s)-s, max(t)-t), composing an IP system image G, from a memory 12, according to an expression of conversion rules using plane projection (2):f(s,t,u,v)=g(u,v,max(s)-s,max(t)-t), and stores the pixel values thus read in a memory 14 as the pixel values of a pixel position (s,t) in a viewpoint position image F(u,v) composing a multiview image F. Consequently, the multiview image F is stored in the memory 14. The multiview image F is an image corresponding to the IP system image G of conversion source stored in the memory 12.
