摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a noncontact storage article height measuring instrument and a noncontact storage article height measuring method for measuring the storage height of a storage article, stored within the storage vessel such as a steam drum, inside a storage vessel in a noncontact manner and from outside of the vessel.SOLUTION: An amount-of-transmitted-radiation measuring instrument in a noncontact storage article height measuring instrument 10 of the present invention emits radiation from a radiation source 20 toward a storage vessel, and detects an amount of transmitted radiation transmitted by the storage vessel using a radiation detector 22. A lift mechanism 16 moves up and down the radiation source 20 and the radiation detector 22 synchronously. Lift height measuring instruments 14A and 14B measure lift heights of the radiation source 20 and the radiation detector 22 in the amount-of-transmitted-radiation measuring instrument, respectively. A storage height calculation unit 18 calculates a storage height of a storage article within the storage vessel on the basis of the amount of transmitted radiation and the lift heights.</p>
