PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reading device, a commodity sales data processor and a program thereof capable of irradiating a reading range of imaging means with a beam of monitor light without giving any influence to an image.SOLUTION: The reading device includes: imaging means for imaging a subject; optical detection means that irradiates a reading range of the imaging means with a beam of monitor light for observing a subject and detects a reflectance from the subject; monitor light control means that controls the monitor light not to reach the reading range while the imaging means takes an image of the subject; and image taking means that takes the image data of the subject taken by the imaging means into a storage. |
