PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent noise from being generated when a belt runs.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a first roller which is rotated by a rotating driving section; a second roller which is rotated by the rotating first roller; a belt 24 stretched on a plurality of rollers; and a tension applying apparatus which applies tension to the belt 24. A rear face of the belt 24 is formed in an irregular shape. The maximum dynamic friction coefficient of the rear face of the belt 24 is equal to or less than 0.73. An amplitude represented by a difference between the maximum dynamic friction coefficient and the minimum dynamic friction coefficient is equal to or less than 0.51. Noise is prevented from being generated when the belt 24 runs. The amplitude is reduced, thereby preventing stick-slip phenomenon between the belt 24 and the rollers, as well as noise. |
