A screen printing apparatus comprises a print executing part 20, a substrate loading part En, a substrate unloading part Ex, transferring and holding means, said transferring and holding means transferring a substrate W, which has been loaded from the substrate loading part En at a substrate standby position P1, to a print executing position P2 and holding the substrate, and a substrate recognition camera 50 for imaging the substrate. The transferring and holding means includes a clamp unit 14 and its drive mechanism, and is configured to transfer the substrate W to the print executing position P2 upon holding the substrate W with the clamp unit 14 in a state of enabling printing thereon by the print executing part 20 at the substrate standby position P1 in advance. The substrate recognition camera 50 is provided to be capable of imaging the substrate W, which is held by the clamp unit 14 and transferred from the substrate standby position P1 to the print executing position P2, in course of the transfer of the substrate W. |
