<p>The present invention relates to an information processing apparatus capable of communication in a power saving mode and reducing power consumption. The apparatus includes: a first communication unit which executes communication in a first communication mode; and a second communication unit which executes communication in a second communication mode. A communication mode of communication, executed through a cable, is converted from the first communication mode to the second communication mode when an execution condition is satisfied and the communication mode is the first communication mode. When the communication mode is converted from the first communication mode to the second communication mode, power is supplied to the second communication unit and power supply to the first communication unit is stopped.</p> |
