<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cam-torque-driven valve timing adjusting device that can be phase controlled by a one-way clutch. <P>SOLUTION: A housing 11 provided to relatively rotate with respect to a sprocket 12 rotates together with a drive shaft. An internal gear 13 is fixed to the sprocket 12. A first lever 31 and a second lever 32 provided to the housing 11 can restrict a counter-rotation of the internal gear 13 with respect to the housing 11, and permits a normal rotation thereof. A third lever 33 and a fourth lever 34 provided to the housing 11 can restrict the normal rotation of the internal gear 13 with respect to the housing 11, and permits the counter-rotation. By cancelling restricting operations of the first, second, third, and fourth levers 31, 32, 33, and 34, a piston 43 relatively rotates the sprocket 12 and the housing 11 by using a counterforce of a cam torque acting to the driven shaft by opening and closing of an intake valve or an exhaust valve. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
