<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographing apparatus which is provided with a photographing auxiliary function for smooth photographing and an appropriate photographing result in the case of photographing a subject plural times while making a circle of the subject. <P>SOLUTION: The photographing apparatus is provided with: an imaging part 12 which obtains image data by photoelectric conversion of a subject image; a display part 18 which displays an image and information; an azimuth determination part 13d which determines an azimuth which the photographing apparatus 1 faces; and a display control part 11c which displays on the display part a result of determination by the azimuth determination part when the imaging part is operated consecutively.
