Disclosed is a charging apparatus for a portable terminal. The charging apparatus for a portable terminal comprises: a case allowing the portable terminal to be mounted thereon to be fixated; a gender having a first terminal formed on one side of the gender to be inserted into a charging terminal of the portable terminal, and a second terminal formed on the other side of the gender to have magnetic force; a fixed terminal which can be fixated to the side of the second terminal of the gender by the magnetic force; and a connector having a universal serial bus (USB) terminal electrically connected to the fixed terminal through a cable. The case includes a gender mounting area to mount the gender. The second terminal has at least a part being exposed to be electrically connected to the fixed terminal of the connector. The charging apparatus may prevent damage to a connection portion (e.g. a lead-soldered part) between the USB terminal and the cable.
