<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten movement distance of a wiping member.SOLUTION: A liquid ejection device comprises: a head having a nozzle and for ejecting fluid from the nozzle; a wiping member for wiping off the fluid adhering to a nozzle face of the head; a cleaning member for cleaning the wiping member which has wiped off the fluid; a direction change mechanism for bringing the wiping member into contact with the cleaning member and making the cleaning member clean the wiping member by changing a direction of the wiping member from a direction for wiping off the nozzle face.</p> |
