<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle body structure capable of improving rigidity and strength of a front pillar.SOLUTION: The vehicle body structure has a lower inner 21 and a pillar stiffener 32. The pillar stiffener 32, formed in cross-sectional groove shape, is constituted of: a side wall 32a of the stiffener; an upper wall 32b of the stiffener extending from an upper end of the side wall 32a of the stiffener toward inside a vehicle; a lower wall 32c of the stiffener extending from a lower end of the side wall 32a of the stiffener toward inside the vehicle; an upper flange 32d of the stiffener provided along an extending end of the upper wall 32b of the stiffener; and a lower flange 32e of the stiffener provided along an extending end of the lower wall 32c of the stiffener. The pillar stiffener 32 extends to a front flange 21d of the lower inner and the upper flange 32d of the stiffener and the lower flange 32e of the stiffener are connected to the front flange 21d of the lower inner so that a second closed cross section C2 is formed between the pillar stiffener 32 and the lower inner 21.</p> |
