A power feeding device (200, 300) for receiving power from a vehicle (10) and feeding the received power to a load (400) external to the vehicle includes: a communication unit (240, 350) for communication between the vehicle (10) and the power feeding device (200, 300); and a power supply unit (380) that supplies the communication unit (240, 350) with power. When an external power supply (500) has failed, the power feeding device (200, 300) supplies the power that is received from the vehicle (10) to the power supply unit (380) to activate the communication unit (240, 350), and the power feeding device (200, 300) also transmits via the communication unit (240, 350) to an ECU (130) of the vehicle (10) a specification regarding power supplied from the external power supply (500) to the load (400). While the ECU (130) follows a predetermined specification to control the power feeding unit (120), once the specification regarding power supplied from the external power supply to the load has been received, the ECU (130) follows the received specification, rather than the predetermined specification, to control the power feeding unit (120). |
