<p>Provided are coupling assemblies for coupling a rod to a bone anchoring element. The coupling assemblies (4, 4′, 4″) comprise storage parts (5, 5″) having a first end (5a), a second end (5b), and a center axis extended through the first end (5a) and the second end (5b); a concave part (52) storing a rod (100); a storage space storing heads (3, 3′) of a fixing element (1), which has an opening (55) having fixed size to allow insertion of the heads (3, 3′) and an hole (51) extending from the storage space to the first end (5a) on the second end (5b); retainer elements (6, 6′, 6″) formed to be at least partially located on the storage space (54), and having fixed size to at least partially surround the inserted heads (3, 3′); and spring elements (7, 7″) formed to be at least partially arranged on the storage space (54), and separated from the retainer elements (6, 6′, 6″), wherein the spring elements (7, 7″) have length that can be engaged by the inserted rod, when the retainer elements (6, 6′, 6″) and the spring elements are arranged in the storage space (54).</p> |
