<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mount an upper road girder in a stable state while reducing the horizontal inclination of a precast concrete slab supported by cables, during constructing an upper road type suspended slab bridge where a column is erected on the concrete slab supported along the deflected cables and the upper road girder is supported thereon. <P>SOLUTION: A precast concrete slab 21 is supported between end blocks 3 and 4 along cables 12a, and two water reserving containers 30 and 31 are placed in the cross direction of the precast concrete slab. In a step of erecting columns 8 on the precast concrete slab to form an upper road girder 9, when a deviational load works on the precast concrete slab to cause inclination or rotating displacement in the horizontal direction, the amount of water in the containers is adjusted to avoid the inclination or the like. The adjustment of the amount of water is performed by moving the water between the containers arrayed in the cross direction, filling water into one container or discharging water from one container.
