<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for support of setting an average period, along with a fuel residue detection system and average period setting support method, capable of easily and properly determining the average period used for measurement of liquid level. <P>SOLUTION: The average period setting support device 50 cyclically measures the liquid level of fuel, calculates the average value of the liquid level measured in a preset average period, and detects the residue of the fuel based on the average value. At this point, the average period setting support device acquires the cyclically measured liquid level for a predetermined analysis period, determines the amplitude value at each of a plurality of frequencies included in the fluctuation waveform of the liquid level, extracts amplitude values exceeding a predetermined reference value from the amplitude values at the plurality of frequencies, calculates the cycle of the lowest frequency of the frequencies corresponding to the extracted amplitude values, and outputs the calculated cycle as an average period. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
