<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stucco material for making a mold for precision casting, along with a mold for precision casting using the same, capable of effectively obtaining a casting of high dimension accuracy and beautiful casting surface by reducing expansion of a mold with no use of zircon particles, and to provide a technology capable of providing a mold for precision casting for manufacturing an economic and complicated mold by reducing weight of the mold, and capable of recovery/reuse of used mold as well. <P>SOLUTION: The stucco material for making a mold for precision casting is made from refractory porous spherical particles comprising mullite crystal, which contains more than 40 wt.% to less than 70 wt.% Al<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>, more than 30 wt.% to less than 60 wt.% SiO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>, and less than 7 wt.% other oxide, with particle size being 0.05-0.4 mm, and apparent porosity of 5-14%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
