PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium which has high gloss equivalent to that of silver halide photography and excellent scratch resistance of glossy surface while keeping satisfactory ink absorptivity of dye ink and pigment ink and image sharpness, in gloss paper for inkjet recording.SOLUTION: The gloss paper for inkjet recording includes at least one gloss developing layer provided on at least one layer of a paper base material, the developing layer including a porous fine pigment having a BET specific surface area of 100-400 m/g and a binder; and a protective layer for the gloss developing layer provided on the gloss developing layer, the protective layer being mainly composed of monodispersed spherical colloidal silica having an average particle size of 20-200 nm and polyvinyl alcohol. The thickness of the protective layer is 0.02-2.0 μm. |
