The implant (100) has a monitoring assembly (20) generating a parameter (P1) from a measurement signal (S1) i.e. electrocardiogram signal, and generating another parameter (P2) from another measurement signal (S2) i.e. impedance signal, which is indicative of time of a blood pulse in thoracic tissue associated with ejection of blood. An evaluation unit (30) generates a pulse transit time from the two parameters. A detector arrangement (10) includes an impedance measuring unit (12) with an electrode assembly (11) for detecting the latter measurement signal. An independent claim is also included for a monitoring system comprising an electromedical implant.
