<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a headlight for a vehicle in which excessive turning of a lamp unit is regulated and interference with peripheral components is avoided while securing simplification of its structure. <P>SOLUTION: The headlight for a vehicle includes a lamp unit 7 irradiating light emitted from a light source 9 and can turn in a horizontal direction, a swivel shaft 17 having a supported part 20 and working as a turning fulcrum in a horizontal direction of the lamp unit, a bracket 26 rotatably supporting the supported part in a horizontal direction, and a shaft pressing member 39 attached to the bracket and pressing the swivel shaft. The supported part includes a pressed face 20a pressed from above by the shaft pressing member, a sliding face 20c with its upper edge continued to an outer peripheral edge of the pressed face and sliding at turning of the lamp unit, and a regulated face 20b with its upper edge continued to the outer peripheral edge of the pressed face and coming in contact with the shaft pressing member when the swivel shaft is turned at a given angle or more. A distance from a turning center of the swivel shaft to the upper edge of the regulated face is to be set shorter than that from the turning center of the swivel shaft to the upper edge of the sliding face. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
