<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a settlement device and a POS system capable of ejecting change without increasing small change received by a customer. <P>SOLUTION: In a settlement device for determining purchase amount of purchased merchandise to perform settlement, a POS register for accounting 30 includes: a change coins and bills machine 310 for counting injected currency and ejecting change on the basis of the purchase amount of the purchased merchandise; a display part 305 for displaying deposit amount based on the counting and the purchase amount of the purchased merchandise; an operation part 306 having a payment declaration key that accepts an instruction to perform settlement; and a CPU 301 for calculating the change on the basis of the deposit amount and the purchase amount and instructing the change coins and bills machine 310 to eject the calculated change, when the deposit amount in cash is greater than the purchase amount and the instruction by the payment declaration key is accepted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
