<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position detecting system of a natural ground excavator, which can measure a distance from an existing tunnel without reference to a positional relationship between the existing tunnel and the natural ground excavator and without mounting a transmitter in the existing tunnel, and the natural ground excavator equipped with the system. <P>SOLUTION: A position detecting system 2 includes: distance sensors 10-13 that are mounted on an outer shell 1a of a natural ground excavator 1 and that can measure a distance to an existing tunnel 3; transmitters 20-27 that are mounted on an inner peripheral surface of the existing tunnel 3 and that send signals capable of being transmitted through an outer shell 3a of the existing tunnel 3 and natural ground; and receivers 30-33 that are mounted on the outer shell 1a of the natural ground excavator 1 and that can receive the signals sent from the transmitters 20-27. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
