<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a metal-ceramic composite material, which can reduce a load applied during an operation of removing excess metal covering the metal-ceramic composite material. <P>SOLUTION: According to the present invention, pressure is applied to a plurality of molded ceramic articles 1' so that the molded articles 1' are tightly in contact with insertions 4, and therefore, a part of a composite material 1 tightly in contact with the insertions 4 is not covered with an excess metal 3 (refer to Fig.2). Plate-like particles 2 interposed between the composite material 1 and the excess metal 3 serve as a releasing material.
