The functional unit (10) has a functional element (12) and a carriage (11), where the functional element and the carriage are guided partially in a channel. The functional element is formed as a braking element. The braking element has an adjustment mechanism (17) for the braking force. An independent claim is also included for a carriage for a curtain device, particularly a panel curtain.
