The invention relates a long laminated polarizing plate (PL) comprising at least one reflective linear polarizer (Pr) having a transmission axis parallel to the longitudinal direction of the film, and at least one absorptive polarizer (Pa) having a transmission axis parallel to the longitudinal direction. In this long laminated polarizing plate (PL), the reflective linear polarizer (Pr) and the absorptive polarizer (Pa) are arranged such that their transmission axes are parallel to each other. The long laminated polarizing plate of the invention is excellent in productivity and is applicable to a large-sized liquid crystal display. |

1. A roll of a long laminated polarizing plate in the form of a film, comprising:
at least one layer of a reflective linear polarizer having a transmission axis parallel to the longitudinal direction of the film; and at least one layer of an absorptive polarizer having a transmission axis parallel to the longitudinal direction of the film, wherein both the transmission axes are arranged parallel to each other, the long laminated polarizing plate has a length of 1,500 mm or more, at a wavelength of 550 nm, the absorptive polarizer has an absorbance of 0.2 or less for linearly polarized light in the direction of the transmission axis and an absorbance of 0.5 to 2.5 for linearly polarized light in the direction of the absorption axis, the reflective linear polarizer has a polarization degree of 80% or more, and the film has a width of 850 mm or more. |
