1. An apparatus comprising:
a device configured to communicate using an optical signal and an electrical signal through a connection to a tube comprised of a number of layers of carbon forming a wall of the tube, wherein the number of layers of carbon has a number of optical properties configured to propagate the optical signal within a channel in the tube and a number of electrical properties configured to conduct the electrical signal along a surface of the wall of the tube; and the device comprising a circuit powered by a voltage difference that occurs as the electrical signal travels through the tube and as a magnetic field is applied to the electric signal; wherein the voltage difference is a Hall Effect voltage. |
