Class 3(2) [Also in Group XI] Light transmitting plates bearing advertising inscriptions (signs, letters, numbers and the like) are detachably retained in trough-shaped elements of moulded transparent or translucent plastic assembled end to end, each element having a rectangular downwardly bulging base, side walls 2, 3 formed as multiple facet prisms 4 and having grooved upper edges 11, and end walls formed with lugs 6, 7 to clip over a tubular lamp and thereby support the element. As shown, the periphery of the element base 1 is provided with side flanges 8 and lugged corner pieces 9 to support a detachable plastic plate 10 which may be white or coloured. The grooved upper edges 11 provide for side by side assembly of similar elements as in Fig. 4, the interfitting edges 11 being cemented toegther. To provide for interfitting of the elements of an end to end assemblage, each element may have wedge or other shaped projections moulded on one end wall, correspondingly shaped apertures being provided in the other end wall. |
