In the present invention, there is disclosed a method of continuously removing pollutants from combustion products or off-gasses by making use of a sorbent, wherein the method is characterized in that the carbon-based sorbent is crushed to a primary particle size in the range of 200 to 5000 nm within a through-flow device to yield a dispersion within the stream of a transport gas in the ratio of 50 to 5000 me3 of gas per 1 kg of the sorbent. The so formed dispersion of crushed sorbent is then reacted for a period of 0.1 to 10 seconds in a turbulent flow with combustion gases or off gases with temperature in the range of 50 to 220 degC. Subsequently, the velocity of the stream of combustion products or off-gases along with sorbent with adsorbed pollutants, is reduced to form agglomerates of macroparticles with adsorbed pollutants and the formed agglomerates are separated in another device. Apparatus for making the above-described method comprises a tubular reactor (3), having its inlet connected to an inlet duct system (4) and a disperser (1) piping (2), while the outlet pipe (5) thereof is connected to a filtering installation. |
