An electrical connector (1) comprises: a housing (2) including a plurality of cavities (20) divided by partition walls (22a-22e); and a retainer (3) inserted into a retainer insertion hole (24) and engaged with a terminal inside the housing (2). Moreover, a terminal (T_0) is inserted into each cavity (20), and the housing (2) is formed while having at least one retainer insertion hole (24) formed as passing through the partition walls (22a-22e) and a lateral wall (21A) of the housing (2) in a second direction (X2) perpendicular to a first direction (X1) wherein the terminal (T_0) is inserted into each cavity (20). The retainer (3) includes: a surface (31) where the retainer (3) is in contact with the retainer insertion hole (24); and a protruding part (32) formed on the surface (31). The protruding part (32) is passing through at least one partition wall, engaged with the specific partition wall (22c), and elastically deformed in the first direction (X1). |
