摘要

The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition for brightening skin including the extract of Boehmeria nivea (L.) GAUDICH as an active ingredient wherein the extract of Boehmeria nivea (L.) GAUDICH is allowed to inhibit activity of tyrosinase which is a core enzyme for synthesizing melanin while inhibiting biosynthesis of melanin from melanoma cells, thereby brightening skin.
