FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to maxillofacial surgery, and is applicable for treating paratideomasseteric phlegmons. A patient's skull is anatomically typed. If the patient appears to have dolicho- and metriocephalic skulls, the opening starts from a transverse incision 3 cm long in parallel with a lower edge of the mandible from its angle by an intraperiosteal dissection of a distal end of the massenter muscle by 1/3 of its width. If the patient has a brachicephalic skull, the opening starts from the transverse incision 5 cm long in parallel with the lower edge of the mandible from its angle by the intraperiosteal dissection of the distal end of the massenter muscle by 2/3 of its width. The postoperative period requires fixing the patient's head for three days in the deflexion position at an angle of 45°.EFFECT: taking into account patient's individual anatomic features, the method enables improving the clinical outcome, namely reducing the number of complications.2 ex |
