The present invention provides a radiation detecting material containing a salt which contains amylose molecules and iodide ions. According to the present invention, whether the radiation detecting material is radiated by radiation such as neutron, gamma ray, beta ray, electron ray, ultraviolet ray, etc. can be easily checked. Additionally, the intensity of radiated radiation can be estimated using a group of radiation detecting substances by adjusting the amount of reducing agent. Likewise, an effect of easily checking exposure to radiation can be obtained.
