The device (1) has a body (2) comprising a conical shaped air intake duct (3) and flaps (4) for closing the duct. The flaps are driven by a shaft (6) mounted on bearings (7). Each flap is equipped with a seal (10) on a periphery to ensure sealing between walls (12) of the duct and the flaps. The seal includes a rigid open ring cooperating with a groove arranged in an edge (5) of the flap, and a closed ring covering the edge of the flap. The edge of the flap has a thin profile. The closed ring is made of elastomer. The flap is slidingly mounted on the shaft.
