<p>The device (10) has a main charger (3) arranged to charge multiple cells, and a battery management system (4) including a measuring unit (5) for measuring charge of each cell according to intensity of current passing through the cell, by a coulometric process. A control unit (7) measures real-time freight rates of the cells, and compares measured charges of the cells. The control unit includes a complementary charger (8) arranged specifically to charge the cell by providing a complementary current in addition with a main load current to the control unit. The main and complementary chargers are current generators. An independent claim is also included for a method for managing a battery.</p> |
