The present invention provides a method for transmitting media data by a service provided by a multimedia system. The method includes the operations of: determining a transmission packet header format, generated according to a transmission request condition of multimedia constituting the media data, and a transmission structure; generating a basic transmission unit of the media data according to the determined header format and the determined transmission structure; making the media data into a packet by the generated basic transmission unit; and transmitting the media data as the packet.
