This protective equipment (1), in particular in the form of a glove or apron, is provided with at least one monitoring device (5) that comprises an encapsulation structure (6) that extends around an electronic chip (7) provided: - with memory means, for storing data, and - with wireless transmission/reception means, for transmitting a signal that contains said data stored in said memory means.
