The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for providing a biometric cycle and, specifically, to an apparatus and a method for providing a biometric cycle, which senses the body temperature using a temperature sensor equipped in a portable terminal and provides an ovulation day and a monthly period using a change in the body temperature sensed during a certain period. According to an embodiment of the present invention, an apparatus for providing a biometric cycle comprises: an analysis unit for determining at least one from an expected date of ovulation or an expected date of menstruation as referring to a change pattern of the sensed temperature during the preset certain period; and an output unit for outputting at least one from the expected date of ovulation and the expected date of menstruation with respect to the result of determination. |
