Disclosed are a common mode filter and a manufacturing method thereof. The common mode filter includes a substrate, a filter layer which is arranged on the substrate and removes a signal noise, external electrodes which has an inside edge with a curved surface and is electrically connected to the filter layer, and a magnetic layer which is formed by filling a gap between the external electrodes on the filter layer.
