METHOD OF FABRICATING FRANCIS-TYPE RUNNER FOR HYDRAULIC MACHINE, AND RUNNER FABRICATED BY USING SUCH METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved fabrication method capable of securing standard to satisfy quality of a runner, and easily industrializing fabrication of the runner.SOLUTION: A Francis-type runner includes a runner band 6 having elements, a runner crown 4 having elements, and a plurality of blades 2 extending between the runner crown and the runner band in a state that the blades are each fitted in between two elements 61-69 of the runner band 6 and between two elements 41-49 of the runner crown 4. A method includes a step for separately fabricating the blades 2, the elements of the runner band 6, and the elements 41-49 of the runner crown 4, a step for welding all the elements of the runner band 6 to the blades 2 by using an electron beam welding method, and a step for welding all the elements of the runner crown 4 to the blades 2 by using an electron beam welding method.
