PORTABLE AND DETACHABLE LACE STORAGE DEVICE

The invention provides a shoelace retaining device which can be attached on to a shoe. The device comprises a chamber having a locking mechanism configured to retain a shoelace. The locking mechanism is operable manually or automatically either by pushing a button, or twisting the chamber to tighten or loosen the laces, thereby removing the need to manually tie the shoelace. However, the invention is not limited to shoes, but may also be applied to other items such as bags, wristbands, watches, pants and shirts.
