A heat pump hot-water supply device (11) is provided with: a tank (15); a coolant circuit (10) having a water heat exchanger (21); water conduits (27, 29); an electrolysis device (41) having an electrode pair (49) provided on a water path further upstream, relative to the water heat exchanger (21), along the water channel including the water conduits (27, 29); and a controller (33) for reversing the polarity of the electrode pair (49) in the electrolysis device (41), and performing a reversing initial operation in which water treated in the electrolysis device (41) is discharged at a position further upstream from the water heat exchanger (21) during a period from which the polarity has reversed until a predefined condition is satisfied.
