PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting technique for an optical connector housing that allows the optical connector housing to be positioned in a self-alignment manner at any places on a substrate.SOLUTION: A mounting method for an optical connector housing comprises: forming, on a waveguide substrate 30 formed with optical waveguides 32, contact guides and adhesive applied areas 55 where a first adhesive is applied; providing an optical connector housing 10 to be mounted on the waveguide substrate 30 that has a first bottom surface and a second bottom surface 15b bonded to the adhesive applied areas 55; applying the first adhesive to the second bottom surface 15b of the optical connector housing 10 to arrange the optical connector housing 10 on the waveguide substrate 30 so that the second bottom surface 15b and the adhesive applied areas 55 overlap with each other; allowing the optical connector housing 10 to be positioned in a self-alignment manner to the adhesive applied areas 55, with the first adhesive applied to the second bottom surface 15b and resilience caused by the surface tension of the first adhesive applied to the adhesive applied areas 55. |
