PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a permanent magnet type motor that achieves both cogging torque reduction and torque rippled reduction and also achieves both size and weight reduction and the torque ripple reduction.SOLUTION: An arrangement is employed such that a U1 phase is accommodated in both mutually adjacent slots among a plurality of slots 27 or at least one of the U1 phase and U2 phase is accommodated in one of the mutually adjacent slots. The U1 phase, a V1 phase, a W1 phase and the U2 phase, a V2 phase, and a W2 phase are driven with mutual deviations of 20-40° in electric angle. Further, Ws/(2&pgr;Rs/Ns)≤0.15 holds for a slot opening width Ws of a stator iron core 22, an inner radius Rs of the stator iron core, and the number Ns of slots of the stator iron core, 0.50≤Wt/(2&pgr;Rs/Ns)≤0.65 holds for a teeth width Wt of the stator iron core, and cogging torque whose degree is coincident with Ns and sextic torque ripple are both reduced. |
