PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide external function means of an instrument used in blood treatment, especially a blood treatment cassette.SOLUTION: External function means includes at least one housing body, at least one chamber (9, 15, 21, 57) incorporated in the housing body to receive a medical fluid, at least one passage (17, 19, 49) incorporated in the housing body to receive and/or transmit the medical fluid, and at least one valve means (35, 36, 39, 40, 47, 51, 53, 61) incorporated entirely or partially in the housing body to control or adjust fluid flowing through the external function means. In addition, a method that may respectively be performed by a blood treatment apparatus, and the external function means and the blood treatment apparatus is specified. |
