摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spark igniter for a burner and a burner pilot capable of generating spark with small output energy.SOLUTION: A spark gap 210 is formed by a first edge portion 214 of a shell electrode 206 and a second edge portion 212 of a center electrode 202. The center electrode 202 and the shell electrode 206 are electrically insulated from each other at the spark gap 210. An outer surface of the shell electrode 206 and an outer surface of the center electrode 202 can be chamfered at the spark gap 210. The chamfer of the outer surfaces is indicated by the chamfer 234 on the outer surface of the shell electrode 206. The chamfer creates the shape of electrode including a tilted edge portion of an approximately acute angle, which increases concentration of electric field between the shell electrode and the center electrode.
