PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hinge member for a bent treatment instrument, which can be inserted into an endoscope channel and used in an intuitively bending-operable manner and which can bear even a load caused by treatment instrument gripping and cutting motions, and the bent treatment instrument using the hinge member.SOLUTION: Approximately cylindrical hinge members, which are juxtaposed in such a manner as to be approximately coaxial with each other to configure a bent treatment instrument, include a pair of recesses which are formed in at least an outer edge of a base end-side end surface in an axial direction, and a pair of protrusions which are protrusively provided on at least an outer edge of a tip-side end surface, which are arranged in the state of circumferentially deviating by an angle of 90° from the recess and which face each other in a radial direction. In position, except the protrusion, of the tip-side end surface, a through-hole for bending, which penetrates in the axial direction, is formed, and a through-hole for a device, which passes through an axial center part, is provided.
