Exemplary embodiments are related to a wireless transmitter device (200). A device (200) may include a power amplifier (152) configured to receive a supply voltage and an input signal. The device (200) may further include a switch (Ml, M2) coupled to the supply voltage and the power amplifier (152) via an inductor (L) and configured to couple the inductor (L) to one of a ground voltage and the supply voltage. The device (200) may also include a prediction engine (204) configured to receive the input signal and convey a signal to the switch (Ml, M2) to couple the inductor (L) to the ground voltage upon detection of an overshoot event.
