SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR EXPANSION OF EDIT AREA ON CAD DRAWING

The present invention relates to a system and a method for expansion of an edit area on a CAD drawing, which allows a user to select a necessary location and add a space thereto while maintaining the original positions of existing diagrams which may be moved as a canvas is inserted into the added space, in case of adding a diagram between blocks during preparation of a design drawing or editing of a control drawing. A method for expansion of an edit area on a CAD drawing comprises the steps of: (a) displaying drawing data and a placement cursor on a screen; (b) acquiring the location where the placement cursor is stopped while being moved to add an object or diagram on the drawing data; (c) inserting and expanding a space to add an object or diagram at the location acquired; and (d) adding an object and diagram to the space inserted and expanded.
